  Lucien Ginsburg, a rebellious French Jewish boy with a grotesque imagination, hates playing the piano like his father, a bar professional, and manages to be admitted to Montmartre Academy as painter, where he befriends an SS officer who helps him survive he occupation. After the war, he chooses to become a performing artist and adopts the stage name Serge Gainsbourg. His unorthodox songs bring him success, even his parents's approval, and lots of lovers, yet his marriages are all utter failures.

 Martin and Hazel Quarrier are small-town fundamentalist missionaries sent to the jungles of South America to convert the Indians. Their remote mission was previously run by the Catholics, before the natives murdered them all. They are sent by the pompous Leslie Huben, who runs the missionary effort in the area but who seems more concerned about competing with his Catholic 'rivals' than in the Indians themselves. Hazel is terrified of the Indians while Martin is fascinated. Soon American pilot Lewis Moon joins the Indian tribe but is attracted by Leslie's young wife, Andy. Can the interaction of these characters and cultures, and the advancing bulldozers of civilization, avoid disaster?

Although fully within the Chytilova tradition of biting moral fable, the film has had a lukewarm reception from Czech and international critics.

Ernst Stein (Rolf Ludwig) used to be a classical actor in the East German stage, but he was so disgusted by the use of his country's soldiers to help put down the 1968 freedom movement in Czechoslovakia that he walked off the stage in the middle of a performance of King Lear. Since then, he has been living in seclusion in his country house, surrounded by young admirers. Nothing, it seems, will deter him from living as he pleases now, certainly not the tanks that rumble past his door; mere soldiers attempting to break into his home present almost no challenge to him. He continues entertaining his young friends with impromptu performances in the grand style, and they engage in lively banter in a difficult to understand Berlin dialect. Like this film's leading character, director Egon Gunther walked away from his career in disgust, and emigrated to West Germany and freedom. The reunification of Germany allowed him to work with old colleagues for the first time in ten years, and this film was received with great appreciation when it was shown at the 1991 Munich Film Festival.

Teenagers. 2009.

 Parisian director Paul Verhoeven is suing the Cannes film festival, claiming that his 2009 drama Teenagers was not accepted because of sexual prejudice.
The lawsuit is the first ever filed against the festival. The low-budget film, which details the relationship between two teenage boys, was shown at other festivals around the world but it was rejected when submitted to Cannes.
The 73-year-old film-maker, who is no relation to the Dutch director of Basic Instinct, emailed a representative to enquire as to the reasoning and was accidentally copied in on an email which referred to his film as ethically “very doubtful”.
During a video deposition to judges, Verhoeven stated that the film was potentially important enough to “turn young people away from terrorism, suicide, delinquency and homophobia”. He seeks either the festival being forced to show the film this year or pay for it to be screened in cinemas.
The story of Lucas and how he helps others as an angel. This is an innovative, educational drama that resembles a documentary.

 Mauro, jovem engenheiro ferroviario e muito bem casado com a linda Katia vive em completa harmonia junto de seu sogro, o irmao de Katia, Beto, Adriana esposa de Paulo e Kika a namorada de Beto. Num dos passeios da familia ao terminal ferroviario, Mauro sofre violenta queda e fica em coma. Levado as pressas para o hospital, se restabelece porem pela gravidade do ferimento interno, torna-se definitivamente impotente. Mauro incorfomado pela nova situacao passa o tempo todo embriagado, passando a ser um peso morto para a familia e principalmente para a sua jovem esposa. A familia passa todos os fins de semana numa chacara as margens de uma represa e ali, dao vazao a toda a sorte de libidinagem. A empregada Nora passa a ter relacoes sexuais com Sergio, o sogro, agora o suposto chefe da familia. Adriana alem de ter relacoes com o proprio sogro, tem tambem com Nora e Beto, que por sua vez transa tambem com Adriana, sua cunhada. Claudinha vem a conhecer Marcos. Um jovem topografo, e com ele inicia um romance, relacionando-se sexualmente com ele. Katia que ja experimentara tudo, descobre nova maneira num ancoradouro de barcos. Meninos pescando todos os dias. Ganha a amizade deles e passa a ter relacoes sexuais com todos. Espalhando-se o fato, a garotada faz fila para transar com ela. A familia nao suporta mais a situacao, e Mauro sempre semi bebado diverte-se com tudo. Chefiada pelo sogro, a familia arma um plano para eliminar Mauro na ferrovia, simulando um acidente. Todos concordam, pois assim haveria total liberdade, incluindo a posse de sua fortuna. Aguardam uma oportunidade. Tudo se precipita quando Mauro percebe o que esta acontecendo entre sua mulher e os garotos. Entao num acesso de furia tenta mata-la, no que e impedido por sua familia. Levam-no ate o terminal ferroviario e o prendem dentro de um vagao. Atraves de choques eletricos, pretendem incendiar o trem e assim mata-lo fazendo com que pareca um acidente. Marcos o solta e, Mauro transtornado e completamente louco, faz virar o feitico contra o feiticeiro. Prende Marcos num determinado lugar e fecha toda a familia dentro de um dos vagoes. Aplica choques de alta voltagem no mesmo e vai eliminando um a um, terminando por atear fogo em toda a familia.
